Description This book is designed for the use of beginning piano students, The greatest recommendation for its use is that it makes haste slowly. Most of the pieces contained in this First Grade book are written in five finger position. Towards the end  there are a few examples of one-finger extensions. The purpose of this book is to lay a clear, correct, and complete foundation for piano study so that the student can think and feel musically. Practically all the examples in this book remain in the five finger position. For this reason transposition is quite easy by means of finger patterns.
